This is the thirteenth in the series of blog posts dedicated to London 2012 Olympic Games events. Today it is the turn of weird and wonderful athletics titles. There have been some wonderful performances by athletes at the Olympic Stadium. Olympic history has been made, with Kenya’s David Rudisha who broke his own world record to claim Olympic gold in the 800m, and Usain Bolt who is the first man ever to win the Olympic Games sprint double twice in succession. And who can forget the night when three British athletes – Jessica Ennis, Greg Rutherford and Mo Farrah – won gold?  Good luck to the British athletes for today and tomorrow.
